Anisa International has built the only large-scale American-owned brush plant in Tianjin, China. This state-of-the-art facility blends traditional Korean brush-making expertise, Chinese manufacturing efficiency and U.S. capital, management, design and quality control. Working with Anisa International is a partnership with an American company with international sales representation across the globe.
Anisa Int'l is in compliance with major international social and environmental initiatives and certifications and has received numerous awards for positive business practices. Major cosmetic companies regularly audit the Anisa Int'l plant, and we are one of the few brush companies that has passed L'Oréal's rigorous standards for social compliance. These high standards dictate our focus, which include providing a clean, safe, environment; fair working hours; and minimum age regulations for employment in our plant. Employees are awarded yearly, acknowledging workers for their dedication and service. Anisa Int'l strives to create a positive workplace in all aspects, and the extremely high employee retention rate reflects this achievement.
As dedicated as Anisa Int'l is to the working environment within the plant, we are just as focused on the impact our facility has on the environment surrounding it. Aluminum and other materials used during our manufacturing process are recycled, and we are continuously looking for innovative new ways to reduce our impact on the planet.
Anisa International recently celebrated the sixth anniversary of the plant opening in Tianjin, China. Local Chinese suppliers and key government leaders, as well as many U.S.-based staff, joined the celebration at the plant as employees were honored for their achievements.
Although it is a global company, company President Anisa Telwar sees each part of her company as being a united family with common goals. “This anniversary is a unique opportunity for both the corporate and the manufacturing branches of the company to come together, cross-culturally, to celebrate our combined achievements, and plan for the future,” she said.
Partnership between the Chinese and American divisions of the company is a key component to the company’s success.“Having the chance for our Asian and American workers to celebrate our hard work together is important. It can be challenging to stay connected with cultural and language barriers, but the anniversary gives us a great chance to overcome that,” said Mr. Kuk Nam Jo, vice-president of manufacturing. Although the plant is located in China, it is truly a multicultural melting pot, with workers from many different Asian countries, including Korea, Japan and China.
Special awards were presented, including motor scooters for employees who demonstrated perfect attendance during the past six years. Anisa Int'l was proud to celebrate reaching this important goal, but understands that it was only the beginning of many more milestones to come in the future.
