Responsible Manufacturing

Anisa International’s influence spans two decades and includes experience in designing, manufacturing and influencing artistry tools for the best brands in the beauty industry.

Responsible manufacturing, transparent business practices and cultural consistencies are commitments that Anisa Tianjin takes seriously. As technologies improve and techniques advance, so does our evaluation of how to do things better, cleaner and with greater safe guards.  As part of our commitment, environmentally sound and sustainably produced beauty tool alternatives are an increasingly important part of what we do.

In 2003 we opened a fully integrated manufacturing facility in Tianjin, China, which gives us complete control over the manufacturing and R&D process. Our capabilities include options for environmentally sound and sustainably produced cosmetic brushes. Many of these alternatives have profound influence on the environmental health and safety of our employees, which is of utmost importance.

We have spent the past 5 years innovating around the creation of man-made fibers that mimic the performance and attributes of animal hair. Eliminating the time and energy required to raise and maintain animals and concentrating on the enhanced capabilities of man-made fibers substantially reduce the carbon footprint of our artistry tools.

To address new mandates from the Chinese government, we have invested in the construction of a new ferrule facility that is committed to environmentally sound manufacturing.

Ferrule manufacturing historically has had a negative impact on the environment, and traditionally has been the most non- eco-friendly component of brush making.

To positively effect our production we have incorporated four steps.

Our plant recently has acquired FSC certification. FSC-certified wood handles are now available for all of our brushes. This certification ensures ethical and sustainable forestry practices and indicates that we have gone through the certification process

We also are moving toward water-based paints. Standard solvent- based paint is flammable and has harmful implications. We offer water-based options that serve as an environmental alternative.

We have implemented a sterilization option that utilizes a FDA approved, medical grade Electric Beam. This alternative process ensures the safe and clean packing and shipping of our products and acts as an alternative to Ethylene Oxide (ETO), which releases harmful gases into the environment.
